The Tukwila School District’s strategic plan is a commitment by the entire community to help our children succeed in school and life. Developed with input from hundreds of voices in the 2013-14 school year, the strategic plan outlines a focused set of academic and personal goals for students and the actions we need to take to achieve those goals. The school board holds the superintendent accountable for implementing the strategic plan, and the superintendent makes sure all of the district’s resources, professional development, and programs are aligned with the strategic plan’s goals.

The core purpose of the TSD strategic plan is to nurture the potential in each student so that he or she is well equipped for a world of infinite possibilities. More information on the plan is available on the district website:

For the 2016-2017 School Year, the Board of Directors has set nine priorities. Achievement of these combined priorities will enable the district to make progress toward our ultimate goals: to close achievement gaps and improve outcomes for each student.

The 2016-2017 priorities are summarized below. For each priority there are expectations and action plans. The School Board will receive regular updates on progress toward these priorities, and we will share that information with our community.
